I jinxed myself

Yesterday I said about how the baby has been sleeping through the night so much lately and so I must have jinxed myself because he woke up last night around 1 am and around 3 we stopped trying to get him back to sleep and John dozed while Little John played in the living room for another hour. But on the bright side we went back to bed after family scriptures (7 am so Mom and Ben can get to school) and he slept till 9:30 and so did we.

Oh and the plumbers came and the bathroom works great!!

All last week in just 5 minutes

Sorry its been a while sinceI blogged anything. We were very busy last week with the fair and getting ready for school which started yesterday. So I'll catch everyone up.

We've been doing a lot of cleaning to get ready for school. Ben paid us $20 to clean his room for him. Look at all the laundry we hauled out of there! But he is doing a pretty good job of keeping it clean since then.

We entered all our stuff in the fair: our quilt got a red ribbon (2nd place), everything else got blue (1st place), and the wedding dress I made last year got a blue and a great big pretty yellow one for honorable mention and it gets to go on to the State fair! I'm very excited about that.

We get a lot of calls from Sarah at college, things are going well but she's homesick. It doesn't help that she has a hard time getting cell phone reception and that her laptop freaked out and wouldn't connect to the internet. But she got it fixed now and she's going to be home for labor day weekend. So we are very excited to see her soon.

So the company that John interviewed with decided they aren't going to hire anyone after all. So that's a little disapointing, but he has more applications out and we expect to here back with a few interviews soon. In the mean time he's keeping himself busy cleaning out the garage and beating Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on the Wii.

Little John is having a great time. Him and the dog are good friends now. He likes to share his cookies with her. He'll slobber all over it and chew on it some and then hold it for her to chew on. But if he has a snack he doesn't want to share he has no problem with pushing her out of the way. We walked around the fair and he got to pet a cow. And because we went Friday morning it was pretty uncrowded so we let him out of the stroller and he and John both pushed it around. He is so close to walking on his own! He'll walk holding just one hand now, he walks along the furniture, he walks up and down stairs with help, he practically runs with his push toy. We made pudding art this week to mail to Sarah at school and to other people. He sleeps through the night almost everynight now, which we are super excited about. He is just loving life, its great.

Oh and the best news the plumbers come tomarrow and then we'll be able to use the downstairs bathroom- HOORAY!!!

Oh and I added the pictures we took of droping Sarah off at school, to the blog about it.

So... tired.. can't... type

So, today is August 16 2008. Today was very busy. I woke up at 6:30 AM to a tired hungry little man who I fed and then tried to put back to sleep. He didn't want to sleep so we played for a while while I "rested" on the floor. We then went upstairs and I had breakfast, renewed my prescription, checked my email and got ready to go to my parents' house. The little man was cranky but once I got him in the car he calmed down a lot. We drove down to West Point and arrived a little before 8:00 AM. No one was awake yet. Little man started making lots of noises and I was wasted. I tried to sleep but the little guy kept trying to go pu the stairs without parental supervision. Luckily, my Mom and Dad woke up and wanted to see the baby so I got them to take care of the little man for a while. I rested for a bit and then had a second breakfast consisting of pancakes. The little one had the same thing. The little guy was very tired so we tried to get him to sleep while we watched Ninja Warrior on TV. My brother woke up and we played Guitar Hero for a while before he had to leave to go to work. My wife and her mom showed up surprisingly early and took the little guy home with them. Julie, my mother in law, notified us that the front rotors of our car were warped because when you step on the breaks at high speeds the steering wheel gets wobbly. Having known that, we decided to fix it by getting the rotors trimmed. We took apart the front wheels assemblies and took the rotors down to Checker and they informed us that they could not trim them because they were too thin to start with. So we bought 2 new and shiny silver rotors and installed them in the car. Afterwards, we too the can and got it washed on the outside and deep cleaned on the inside. The car looks great except for the two dents in it. Oh well. Then we gathered all the things that I needed to bring back with me for Carol. I then went to my other brother, Kevin's place, wherewe had dinner of spaghetti and garlic bread. It was dang good. We watched some Cops on TV and spent what felt like an hour searching for these little clear plastic beads for the wedding dress Carol made a while back for my sister in law. We never found them. It was very frustrating. I am now home and hope that I can say or do the right thing to make my wife happy since she really missed me (we were apart for all day except an hour or so). So I'm going to be off to hopefully be a good husband instead of a mean loser. Hopefully I will post more soon. So Long

Good bye Sarah

So we got up extra early and drove Sarah to school today. We hauled her stuff in and helped her with her paperwork. Then we came back to the rest of the Bergen Family reunion. (Yesterday and today) It was mostly hanging out and visiting and eating. There were a few games and at the end Grandma Earl, Uncle Carl, and Aunt Neoma told stories from the family history. I missed most of the storytelling 'cuz I was chasing Little John around, but someone video taped it all so I'll just have to wait a little bit to hear them. But I am super tired, so thats all for now.

Shopping!

So yesterday Sarah (my sister, see the pic) was helping me get the little guy ready for a nap. You know diaper change, turn on the CD, find his nap blanket- that kind of thing. So i get all settled in the rocking chair and hold out my arms and say "Come here puppy!" We had just been talking about making sure the dog left the room when Sarah did and I guess it just came out but it made us laugh so hard I counldn't take the baby for like five minutes. He's only ten months old and already I can't keep his name straight, what is life going to be like when I have three or four kids running around?!

Today Sarah and I went shopping for bras since I'm not nursing anymore and my old ones are streched out and old. So I came home with the most comfortable bra I've ever owned! And its even an underwire. Its a Hanes all over comfort, I think they're a new product. I also got a totally cute outfit that criss-cross matches an outfit that Sarah got. We are going to wear them and match when we drive her down to school on Saturday. She is going to Snow College. I will post a pic when I blog about that. Miss Sarah Anne Snow rocks my socks and I will miss her so much!!!!

This is a Test

This is a test to see if my blog works. I'm also testing to see if I can get the pictures to work. So here is one of the pictures we took to enter in the Peach Days photo contest.
